Spotting Issues Before Your Users Do.
Introduction to Proberix
Proberix is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform engineered for uptime and performance monitoring of digital services. It serves as a versatile tool for overseeing the health and responsiveness of HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP endpoints. This capability allows it to monitor not just traditional websites but also microservices, TCP-based services, and other cloud-hosted resources that are critical for maintaining seamless online operations.
The monitoring process in Proberix involves distributing the monitored URLs to selected, geographically distributed servers. Each server, or location, operates independently to conduct probes, offering a broad perspective on the accessibility and performance of the service from different points across the globe.
The Scope
Proberix's probes are designed to measure not just the uptime of a service through response codes, but also its response timings. Additionally, they can be configured to simulate browser interactions, including full page rendering, to closely mimic user interactions and assess performance from a user's viewpoint.Monitoring
When a probe detects an error or a content mismatch, it registers the incident as an event within the Proberix application. These events are recorded in detail, including the time of occurrence, the probe name, failure specifics, and the consecutive failure count, thus providing users with actionable insights into their service's performance.Notifications
If a notification threshold is configured, Proberix will notify the selected users upon detecting an issue that meets the predefined criteria. This ensures that stakeholders are promptly informed about potential downtimes or performance degradations, allowing for quick response and resolution.Change Detection
Each monitoring location in Proberix captures snapshots and compares them with subsequent results. When discrepancies are identified, the system triggers events and records the variances as response comparison delta alongside the monitoring data. This capability facilitates the detection of changes, allowing for a nuanced understanding of their implications on service performance.
