What is a Probe

What is a Probe

A probe is a mechanism used to systematically assess and verify the performance and availability of web services, APIs, and network endpoints. In Proberix, probes can perform operations such as HTTP(S) requests or TCP checks against a set of predefined targets, which could range from individual web pages to complex API endpoints or network services.

The essence of a probe's function is to simulate interactions, ensuring that the service or endpoint is not only available but also performing to expected standards from the end user's perspective.
